Rockwell Automation — Safety Relays
The Allen-Bradley 440C Guardmaster safety relay is a modular safety switching system that addresses the most common machine safety functions in a single platform. The base unit accepts dual-channel inputs and provides two or three N.O. safe outputs with a monitored manual reset, configurable for emergency stop, guard monitoring, or light curtain interface applications. Plug-in terminal blocks allow the relay to be replaced without disconnecting wiring, minimizing downtime during maintenance or safety system reconfiguration. Expansion modules can increase output contact count or add functionality such as delay timing and solid-state outputs. The 440C series integrates seamlessly with the broader Guardmaster portfolio, including interlocks, light curtains, and safety controllers, providing a unified solution for machine safety. The compact 22.5 mm form factor and common wiring scheme reduce panel design time and simplify installation for panel builders and system integrators.
