The Siemens V90 servo drive is designed as an entry-level yet highly capable servo solution for general automation machinery requiring precise motion control. It operates with a 1 kHz velocity loop bandwidth and supports a 20-bit encoder resolution for smooth operation across the full speed range. The drive features one-button auto-tuning that automatically determines optimal gains and mechanical load parameters, significantly reducing commissioning time. With direct PROFINET connectivity and standard telegram 105/106 communication, it integrates seamlessly with Siemens TIA Portal without the need for specialized motion control hardware. A built-in holding brake control and Safe Torque Off (STO) SIL 3 safety function are included as standard features.
