Omron G9SB Safety Relay Unit

The Omron G9SB safety relay unit is designed for space-constrained control panels where multiple safety circuits must coexist in limited DIN-rail real estate. Its industry-slim 17.5 mm housing width is the narrowest available in its class, allowing up to 40% more safety relays per meter of DIN rail compared to standard 22.5 mm units. The relay uses forced-guided (mechanically linked) contacts as required by EN 50205, ensuring that N.O. and N.C. contacts cannot simultaneously be in the closed state even under contact welding failure conditions. Four models cover common configurations: 2 N.O. + 1 N.C., 3 N.O., 2 N.O. + 2 N.C., and 4 N.O., providing flexibility for diverse output load requirements. The narrow design does not compromise terminal accessibility – each unit features finger-safe screw terminals with wire entry from both front and sides, simplifying wiring in congested cabinets.
