Delta DVP-Safety Series Module

The Delta DVP-Safety series is a modular safety extension for Delta's DVP programmable logic controller family, enabling standard PLC systems to incorporate safety-rated functionality. It provides SIL 2 (IEC 62061) / PL d (ISO 13849-1) safety integrity for emergency stop circuits, guard door monitoring, and two-hand control applications using certified dual-channel inputs. The compact module communicates with the DVP CPU via the standard expansion bus, sharing common I/O and tag data without requiring a separate safety programming environment. STO (Safe Torque Off) relay outputs can directly control compatible Delta servo and VFD drives, eliminating the need for external safety contactors in many applications. The series supports up to three modules per DVP CPU, providing up to 12 safe inputs and 4 safe outputs in a cost-optimized package suitable for retrofit and new machine installations alike.
